I’ve been in the market for a new hair stylist for years after my original stylist moved away, and Diana’s salon showed up on my for you page. I loved her work and started following her account (@dianaanteshair). After a few months, I decided to take a leap of faith and book a (much needed) haircut and styling with her. I’m so glad I did because she was everything and more than I was looking for and needed in a stylist. I appreciated that she had a new client form to fill out so she could better understand me/my hair journey.

She’s professional, great at communicating, and listens to what you want. I showed her some inspiration photos and she delivered! On top of all that, she’s warm, fun, and thoughtful of her clients - providing a calm environment with refreshments and snacks. She also has a great hair brush that I’ve given as gifts. The products available for sale at her salon are products she stands by. My first haircut with her was in March and I’ve seen her twice since then.

Diana has been my hair stylist since I moved to the Bay Area. It took me 4 years of living here to find someone I could trust with my hair. I cheated on her once, and let's just say I instantly regretted that decision 😅 Besides being a fabulous stylist, she's an awesome person and so fun to talk to. Diana has been my hairstylist for 15 years. I have never met anyone else who is as knowledgeable, talented, fun, and patient. I always feel at ease around her. She listens carefully to what I want with my hair, and always asks follow-up questions to clarify. Recently I decided to get subtle highlights in my hair. I’m a person that likes BRIGHT colour (we’ve gone from pink to purple to orange and that’s only the beginning) and every time Diana DELIVERS, even if that sort of style didn’t seem to be her primary clientele at first glance of her work. Several times I’ve asked her to surprise me with a new cut or a colour combo and she has yet to disappoint. If you’re looking for a personal, relaxing, rejuvenating experience then you’ve come to the right place. 10/10, 5 stars, I cannot recommend her enough, Diana is a gem and I promise you’re in good hands with her :)

Diana started cutting my hair in 2009 when I worked at Stanford University.  I was ready for an upgrade in the hair department so I looked at some reviews and found Diana at a nearby salon in Palo Alto.  We hit it off immediately.

She is super talented and creative, fun to be around and a really wonderful person.  I get to see her once a month and I always look forward to a relaxing and fun experience and of course an awesome haircut.  Her space is bright and welcoming and she is always in a great mood when I arrive.  :)

It's been 15 years and I'm living in San Francisco now.   If I lived in San Diego I'd still commute up to see her.

It's really, really difficult to find an amazing stylist.  It's such a personal experience and giving trust to someone to present your image to the world is not a small thing.   I love that I've found Diana to give that trust to.

Diana has been my stylist for roughly 9 years now and I couldn’t imagine going to anyone but her. I have very difficult hair to work with, it’s baby fine and probably all gray lol but she manages to make me look like I am much, much younger with the techniques she uses in highlighting and coloring my hair. She is committed to cleanliness and safety practices, to hair and scalp health, and will never do anything that she feels would jeopardize your hair or the final outcome in how you look.  Not only is Diana a consummate professional, but her chair side manner is top notch. Diana has always done such a great job creating the perfect colors for my hair. I feel like I never have to have an exact idea of what I'd like because she always comes up with something that looks amazing with my skin tone. The studio environment Diana has created is amazing. I always walk away from Diana’s chair feeling and looking great. I went years without taking care of my hair due to having kids or riding out the pandemic, but whenever I come back to Diana, she makes all of the wear and tear go away like magic. However, I know it’s not just magic because I’ve seen her put in so much hard work over the years to perfect her craft and elevate herself in her field. She works long hours, takes classes, mentors others, opened her own salon… all while being a rockstar mom and wife. I usually ask for vivid highlights and colors (think pink, purples, reds) and she’ll be very realistic about the process, maintenance and all the other expectations a client should have before investing in a hair treatment or style. I appreciate her subject matter expertise and would recommend her to any friend or family member without hesitation.

Diana has been doing my hair for almost 20 years, and she consistently exceeds my expectations. I normally don’t write reviews, but I had to share my experience! I’m always so happy with my appointments because I feel even more confident and refreshed after getting my hair done!

I’ve been trying to find a hairstylist to learn and grow from while experimenting with coloring on my hair, so I’m super appreciative that I can have Diana work her magic. My hair journey has grown because Diana gives great recommendations and consultations to give you above and beyond results. I definitely think she can make the impossible, possible! (Especially because I personally think my hair is hard to work with, even for me!)

She is always so fun to talk to and very welcoming! You can tell that she cares about your hair goals and goes an extra mile to give you hair tips. I definitely find her newsletters really helpful and I love learning something new that can benefit my hair health!

Love getting my haircuts from Diana! I wanted something low maintenance with movement and lightness for my first haircut in two years and it was perfect for traveling pre-pandemic. I had my second haircut recently and it felt like seeing an old friend! We caught up and laughed as she gave me my last hairstyle (it grew out so nicely, so I wanted the same easily maintained layers) but with something new: bangs. 😊

She did amazing! I love how she was as excited as I was for the change. My loved ones also liked the cut and I can’t wait to see Diana again to maintain my hairstyle. I don’t do regular haircuts, so this is big for me.

If you’re worried about getting a haircut due to COVID, Diana is the stylist to see. Her client protocol (text when outside, mask, hand sanitizer, etc.) made me feel safe. I also love that she has her own private studio space within Sola Salons. And, her studio is sooo clean and cute. I felt comfortable and I had a great time. Plus, I got a new look that I love and it’s all thanks to Diana.

For context, I myself am I professional hair stylist. I naturally have extremely high expectations about my service and how it goes, and with Diana there was not a single flaw with my experience. From the moment I walked in, her personality is so welcoming I felt special sitting in her chair. She really listened to my concerns and for once in my life, I had a stylist that actually respected how much I wanted to cut. I have never had great experiences getting my hair blow dried and with Diana it was relaxing, and my hair looked phenomenal when she was done. She used all high quality products, which is necessary for the health of my hair. I highly recommend Diana to anyone looking for not just haircuts but coloring services as well. I have a long standing and complicated hair history and all I can say is Diana was INCREDIBLE! As someone who had been previously blonde for 3 years (until the pandemic hit) and then had over 6 inches of growth due to not being able to get in the salon for awhile, my hair was definitely a challenge.

MY HAIR HISTORY:
I had been told by several past stylists that I had very difficult  hair to lift as it is very dark and coarse (I’m Asian) and it was already pretty damaged from all the years prior it was bleached. As a temporary fix I had toned it myself brown in quarantine so that the black and blonde weren’t so stark.

THE HAIR RESULTS:
I came really not expecting much due to the condition of my hair (lots of precious bleaching) and asking her if we could do a touch up to all of my roots and asked if we could possibly go lighter. I also asked for something that would be lower maintenance so that i’m not having to visit the salon 5x a year. She FAR EXCEEDED my expectations!! Not only was she extremely thorough, but I achieved my desired lightness, my desired tone, AND my hair was honestly healthier than when I walked into the salon. I was shocked! I’ve never seen my hair this light but still feel so thick and full and healthy. I was so blown away, I’ve always had to sacrifice health for color or color for health. Not with Diana, I achieved my hair goals ❤️ I’ve already gotten tons of compliments 💁🏻‍♀️

THE EXPERIENCE:
During the entire process she was extremely professional but also so fun to chat with, she made the time pass by so quick! Because of my hair history she consistently checked my foils to make sure my hair wasn’t damaged, and did I mention how cute her salon is? If you’ve ever had your hair bleached you’ve probably been in the salon in an uncomfortable for hours like me, but she really invests back into her business by using great products on your hair and she had the most comfortable chair for the sink that I’ve ever sat in! It automatically slides forward for comfortable hair washing positioning and the sink was extremely gentle on my neck and did not hurt whatsoever.

Overall I give Diana an 11/10 and highly recommend her if you’re looking for a high stylist that will help you achieve your hair goals while also maintaining your hair health! If you’re a stylist as well, she also offers educational courses so you can learn from the best!! Thank you so much Diana!

Diana did an awesome job for our city hall wedding, including balayage, hair updo, and makeup! She took extra time to do the hair and makeup trials, and put us at ease on the wedding day! I love Diana's salon. It's so cute and CLEAN. My hair looks so healthy ever since I found her. Im all about the health of my hair. I also only buy my hair products from her because you need to use good products on your hair. You can't get your hair cut and colored, but use cheap products. She also cuts my daughter's hair, and she's 3!!! She's so friendly and nice. She has great, positive energy. My daughter loves her!!!

I love Diana! I had known her for several years before I finally went to her for a hair appointment. I was able to have one of her rare appointments on the single day that Santa Clara County hair salons were permitted to operate since the initial shelter in place was announced.
